There are typically 3 ways to finish the edge of the deck. Either the deck board butts up to a deck board border, is flush with the top of a fascia board, or the deck board extends over the fascia board to create an overhang. Also included is my simple solution to provide access to drain covers, and a double newell post option. An example of each follows:
